CCL2 and asthma: RANTES is involved in the chemoattraction of eosinophils, monocytes, and T‐lymphocytes, and therefore, it has high relevance to asthma.10 MCP‐1 is involved in the recruitment of regulatory and effector leukocytes (monocytes, lymphocytes, and basophils) into tissues.9 Therefore, chemokines could play an important role in asthma pathogenesis.
