Although previous evidence has suggested that CXCL12/CXCR4 is an effective therapeutic target for glioblastoma, our findings elucidate the molecular mechanisms of CXCR4 involved in the progress of glioblastoma, additionally clarifying the properties of rat glioblastoma for use as an animal model in the treatment of brain tumors.
