The result of our study has demonstrated that maspin expression both in cytoplasm and nucleus was obviously negative related to LMVD (P < 0.05) from which we could predict that maspin plays an inverse impact on lymphangiogenesis in the progression of squamous cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix and in a certain degree, it delays or even holds the metastasis of local lymph nodes. The gene discussed is SERPINB5; the disease is squamous cell carcinoma.
