This GPER’s impact on survival, combined with the in vitro data demonstrating that GPER activation reduces ovarian cancer cell proliferation in the absence of LH/FSH signaling in vitro, could formulate the hypothesis that GPER activation by e.g. tamoxifen could be of therapeutic benefit in LHCGR/FSHR negative EOC patients. This evidence concerns the gene GPER1 and ovarian cancer.
