Interestingly, the results of this analysis clearly revealed higher expression of the genes that were down-regulated after HMGA1 silencing (i.e., genes induced by HMGA1) in tumour tissue vs. normal tissue (ratio 89/6), and in particular in bad vs. good clinical outcome (ratio 55/4), primarily for breast cancer (ratio 31/0) (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene HMGA1 and breast carcinoma.
