Others have reported that generalized SFK inhibition in osteosarcoma cells results in apoptosis, which was attributed to inhibition of the FAK/p130CAS signaling axis [38]; however, we did not find any changes in FAK activity (pY397 and pY925) with expression of CA-Lyn or DN-Lyn in the nutrient-deprived U87 or SNB19 GBM cells (Fig. S3C and data not shown). The gene discussed is PTK2; the disease is glioblastoma.
