Moreover, our recent study has shown that ectopic expression of TACC3 enhances proliferation, migratory/invasive ability and transformation capacity of HeLa cervical cancer cells and displays a more mesenchymal phenotype, accompanied by down-regulation of epithelial marker E-cadherin and up-regulation of mesenchymal markers N-cadherin and Vimentin as well as EMT inducers Snail and Slug [9]. Here, TACC3 is linked to cervical cancer.
