Since TACC3 is overexpressed in cervical and other cancers and appears to be a key player in EGF/EGFR-driven EMT process, it is possible that depletion of TACC3 may be a good approach to treat cancers that are driven by EGF/EGFR signaling pathways or resistant to anti-EGFR therapy. This evidence concerns the gene TACC3 and cancer.
