In the subgroup analyses by ethnicity, the results showed that the IL10 −1082G allele was associated with increased SLE risk among Caucasians under three genetic models (G vs. A: OR 1.16, 95% CI 1.04–1.28; GG vs. AA: OR 1.43, 95% CI 1.13–1.81; GG+GA vs. AA: OR 1.16, 95% CI 1.03–1.32), while the associations were not found among Asians under any genetic model. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
