As shown in Table III, the levels of IL-1β in the blood and sigmoid colon mucosa in the anxiety-depression IBS-D group (21.65±0.78 and 20.86±1.34, respectively) were significantly higher than those in the non-anxiety-depression IBS-D group (18.35±1.37 and 16.28±0.97, respectively; P<0.05). This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and mixed anxiety and depressive disorder.
