The concentration of ‘regulated on activation, normal T cell expressed and secreted’ (RANTES), a potent chemoattractant peptide for eosinophils, and the numbers of RANTES-positive cells were evaluated in the gastric mucosa from patients with H. pylori-positive chronic gastritis before and after H. pylori eradication and from H. pylori-negative healthy volunteers. Here, CCL5 is linked to chronic gastritis.
