To our surprise, kidney transplant recipients had a significantly higher percentage of IFN-γ producing monocytes not only at the time of Tx but also 3 months thereafter (32.8%±2.8 vs. 18.8%±2.7 p = 0.03 and 30.3%±3.9 vs. 18.8%±2.7 p = 0.006) (Figure 4B). This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and kidney transplant.
