In the six cured patients for whom data were also available at the end of TB treatment, this decline in NKG2D mRNA expression was observed in the intensive phase (p = 0.04), but was followed by an increase (p = 0.04) during the continuation phase (median at diagnosis 9.4, at 2 months 0.77 and at 8 months 11.6 arbitrary units) (Figure 3C).
