It is reported that SLC1A4 is associated with atherosclerosis [32], TMEM44 regulates low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) levels which in turn is a critical factor in the regulation of blood cholesterol levels [33], GPC6 is associated with breast cancer [34], and schizophrenia and bipolar [35] and PCBP4 is associated with lung cancer [36]. This evidence concerns the gene TMEM44 and breast cancer.
