Similar to anti-angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma [17]–[20], this study showed an obvious inhibitory effect of celecoxib on the angiogenesis in the cirrhotic livers induced by TAA in terms of the reduced hepatic vascular areas, less tortuous portal veins displayed by vascular casts, and down-expression of hepatic CD31. This evidence concerns the gene PECAM1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
