Delayed mammary tumor onset and reduced tumor growth rate observed in the MTB-IGFIR/Akt1−/− mice was consistent with the findings of Maroulakou et al. [32] which showed that loss of Akt1 significantly delayed tumor onset and reduced tumor growth in MMTV-neu and MMTV-PyMT transgenic mice. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and neoplasm.
