Recently, the REVE-2 (REmodelage VEntriculaire-2) study was designed to test if plasma levels of three cardiac biomarkers, BNP, troponin I (TnI) and C-reactive protein (CRP) might be correlated with post-MI LV remodelling (defined as >20% increase in end diastolic volume with 1-year echocardiographic follow-up). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and myocardial infarction.
