Based on the current findings about the correlation between the NDRG1 gene, differentiation stages, metastasis and lymph node invasion, we consider that NDRG1 is a newly identified differentiation-related and metastasis suppressor gene in breast cancer, and its methylation is associated with cell differentiation in the process of provoking cell tumorigenesis. This evidence concerns the gene NDRG1 and breast carcinoma.
