Among the 70 genes associated with GxA common to both tissues, we identified cancer-related genes, such as BARD1 and BCL7C.The BARD1/BRCA1 interaction is disrupted by tumorigenic amino acid substitutions in BRCA1, implying that the formation of a stable complex between these proteins may be an essential aspect of BRCA1 tumor suppression. The gene discussed is BCL7C; the disease is cancer.
