Analysis of Kaplan-Meier survival curves provided evidence that a CD8+ T-cell count less than 149.5 cells/mm3 (logrank test; P < 0.001) and a CD28+CD8+ T-cell count <75 cells/mm3 (logrank test; P < 0.001) at ICU admission were associated with lower survival probabilities in CIIC patients with IPA (Figure 3A and 3B). This evidence concerns the gene CD28 and Ito hypomelanosis.
