Specifically, we explored the role of calreticulin, a protein involved in renal disease in animals, in a larger interaction network in renal graft rejection (interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy) and its association with other functional and pathway elements and the association of the inflammatory axis interleukin-6 (IL6)/IL6 receptor with the progression of polycystic kidney disease. The gene discussed is CALR; the disease is kidney disorder.
