In contrast, 59, 45, and 28% of travelers had MBC specific for AMA1, merozoite surface protein‐1 (MSP1), and MSP3 (after the subtraction of BSA‐specific background), respectively, and 37 of the 47 (78%) travelers had MBC specific for at least one of the three malaria antigens (Table 1).
