To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to report the localization of CXCL1 protein in the NASH liver; these results, considered together with those of previous studies[35-38], suggest that CXCL1 is indeed involved in the accumulation of hepatic neutrophils in this disease and that neutrophilic infiltration may be involved in insulin resistance in FLS livers[21,22]. Here, CXCL1 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
