ANRIL is an antisense lncRNA that was initially described as part of the INK4b (inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 4b)–ARF (ADP-ribosylation factor)–INK4a (inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 4a) locus, which is deleted in the melanoma-neural system tumour syndrome [54]. The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is melanoma.
