In contrast, we observed that in our case collection any Her2 immunoreactivity – which also comprised a weak staining (1+) – was associated with less aggressive tumor behavior and turned out to be an independent significant favorable prognostic marker both in the group of gastric carcinoma patients and in the subgroup of non-intestinal type tumors, which showed predominantly weak Her2 immunoreactivity. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and neoplasm.
