The results of this study show that NF-κB activation contributes to BDNF-induced migration and β5 integrin expression in human chondrosarcoma cells and that inhibitors of the NF-κB-dependent signaling pathway, including PDTC or TPCK, inhibit BDNF-induced β5 integrin expression and cancer migration. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is cancer.
