Takada et al. [14] reported that vorinostat potentiates apoptosis and inhibits invasion of various tumor cells by suppressing NF-κB. As several genes including antiapoptotic, proliferative, and angiogenic products are regulated by NF-κB, proliferation, invasion, and angiogenesis potential of tumor cells can be regulated or inhibited by vorinostat. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and neoplasm.
