Lung cancers, especially, non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC) display frequent loss of not only tumor suppressor genes like p53 (∼50%), Rb (retinoblastoma protein, 15–30%) and p16INK4 (30–70%) but also Wnts, particularly Wnt7a (Sekido et al., 1998). This evidence concerns the gene CDKN2A and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
