We show herein that the activation of a β-catenin-independent pathway, mediated by Wnt7a/Fzd9, strongly induce hsa-miR29b expression in NSCLC cells (Fig. 1), while activators of β-catenin-dependent pathway (Wnt3), in strong contrast, failed to stimulate hsa-miR29b expression. This evidence concerns the gene FZD9 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
