CD4 and autoimmune enteropathy: Differentiating inflammatory disorders, especially celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease or autoimmune enteropathy from indolent small intestinal CD4+ T-cell lymphomas can be diagnostically challenging as the mucosal architectural alterations can be similar, the neoplastic lymphocytic infiltrate can be patchy at times and aberrations of the T-cell antigens are absent in some cases (Table 3).
