RUNX1/ETO, which causes acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acts as a dominant-negative repressor of RUNX1 target genes [45], including colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R/c-fms), GM-CSF [46,47], tumor suppressor p14(ARF) and the retinoic acid receptor β (RARB) [44]. Here, CDKN2A is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
