The elevated levels of SPGR in the urine samples of the diabetic control rats and the diabetic rats administered ginger incorporated feed, by the 1st week of experimentation, compared with the normal control rats, as observed in this study, could be attributed to the elevated levels of glucose in their urine (glucosuria) as well as protein in their urine (proteinuria) and this may be indicative of other substances that may have permeated the membrane of the glomerular filtrate and were dissolved in the urine. Here, GSTO1 is linked to Glycosuria.
