CD79A and food allergy: Particularly in the case of food allergy, some of the factors that play an important role in its activation have been described, such as maternal diet, infant's diet, prematurity, absence of exclusive natural breastfeeding, deficiency of secretory IgA, deficiency of the intestinal permeability barrier(5), etc. However, the occurrence of allergic colitis in family groups, such as was verified in the present study, seems to suggest strong evidence of familial genetic predisposition.
