Among type 2 diabetic pregnancies, only two of 7 (28.6%) women being treated with ILPS and three of 18 (16.7%) being treated with NPH needed two basal insulins plus three short-acting insulin injections; the same therapy was used in two of 46 GDM (4.3%) of the ILPSg and one of 18 GDM (5.5%) of the NPHg. This evidence concerns the gene INS and gestational diabetes.
