CRP and colorectal cancer: Based on Cox’s univariate proportional hazard model, serosal invasion (p= 0.03), undifferentiated tumors (poorly differentiated and mucinous adenocarcinoma; p= 0.013), elevated serum CEA levels (p= 0.0008) and CRP positivity (p<0.0001) were significant prognostic factors for poor survival in patients with stage I–III colorectal cancer.
