CD19 and malaria: We did not assess CD10 and CD20 markers, so we do not know what fraction of the CD19+IgD-CD27-CD21- MBC observed in this study are the “exhausted” atypical MBC (CD19+CD10-CD27-CD21-) described in patients with high level HIV viremia [17] and in malaria-exposed individuals from other populations [12], [15], [16].
