Generally, genes encoding the proteins which are involved in viral DNA replication and/or late gene expression (eg. dnapol, lef1-12) are expressed at an early time; structural protein genes (eg. vp39, p6.9 and e25) are expressed at late times; some genes are expressed at both early and late phases (eg. ie1, pp31 and gp64); p10 and polyhedrin (polh) are highly expressed very late genes, which are expressed through late and very late times of infection [24]. This evidence concerns the gene POLH and infection.
