F11R and melanoma: Of note, there is also currently divergent evidence for the involvement of other JAM family members in angiogenesis; for example, JAM-A-deficient animals show reduced tumor vascularization in a model of pancreatic islet carcinoma (33), while JAM-B has been reported to have antiangiogenic properties with JAM-B-deficient mice showing increased tumor angiogenesis in a melanoma model (34).
