Interestingly, while HIN-1 and RYD5 localize to chromosomes 19 and 11p15.5, respectively, mammaglobin A/B and lipophilin A/B map to chromosome 11q13 [5,24], chromosomal alterations of which have been implicated in poor prognosis in squamous cell carcinomas of the head / neck [34] and in the pathogenesis of some breast cancers [35].
