To determine the effect of IL-10 on B. abortus survival during macrophage infection in vitro, bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDM) from C57BL/6 and IL-10−/− mice were infected with B. abortus 2308 (MOI = 100) and the bacterial survival was measured at 1, 8, and 24 h post-infection (h.p.i.)(Fig. 7A).
