A role for Notch signaling in OS metastasis is supported in the work published by Zhang et al. (2008) who found Notch1, Notch2, DLL1, and Hes1 over-expression in a number of human OS tumor samples and cell lines, and observed that compound E (a gamma-secretase inhibitor) reduced Matrigel invasion by these OS cells.
