IGHE and asthma: Elevated CB-IgE-levels were significantly more common in males than in females in both groups (n = 1,227 and n = 1,661 with p = 0.009 and p = 001 respectively), and there was a significant difference in the register-linked group (n = 1,661) between the individuals with low CB-IgE compared to those with elevated CB-IgE with respect to a family history of asthma (p = 0.039) and a history of asthma in the mother (p = 0.010) (Table 1).
