The in silico analysis suggests that Tcf7l2 interactome is involved in a variety of age-related pathologies, such as Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular diseases and colorectal cancer [48-52], all sharing vascular alterations, as a further support to the biological relevance of this gene and to the emerging idea that the same gene can play a major role in apparently different diseases [53]. This evidence concerns the gene TCF7L2 and Alzheimer disease.
