EGFR and metastatic colorectal cancer: Unfortunately, however, the confirmatory NCCTG supplementary randomized N03CB trial conducted in 65 patients (33 in the tetracycline arm and 32 in the placebo arm) of whom >50% had metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) and >60% received cetuximab, failed to demonstrate any benefit conferred by tetracycline in terms of either the incidence or severity of rash in patients receiving therapy with EGFR-targeted agents.42
