In 4 RCC cell lines (786-O, Caki-1, A498, and ACHN), ovatodiolide reduced levels of active β-catenin (Ser552 phosphorylation on β-catenin) and its downstream genes (c-myc, cyclin D1, and survivin) but not other WNT molecules (TCF4, LRP5/6 and its active phosphorylated form, Axin1, and disheveled) (Figures 1(c) and S1D). Here, LRP5 is linked to renal cell carcinoma.
