Previous biological activity studies revealed a weak-to-moderate cytotoxicity of compound 1 toward a variety of cancer cell lines [18,19] and a significant anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the accumulation of the pro-inflammatory inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and COX-2 proteins in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-simulated RAW264.7 macrophage cells [18,20].
