Similarly, total polyp mass was also significantly elevated from 192.2 ± 11.6 mm2 in Apc+/MinDnd1+/+ mice to 352.6 ± 11.4 mm2 in Apc+/Min: Dnd1+/Ter males (t = 4.5, p<0.0001; two-tailed t-test; Figure 3B), suggesting that a single copy of Dnd1Ter exacerbates intestinal polyp initiation and development in mice that are genetically susceptible to intestinal polyposis and that the action of Dnd1Ter is not limited to TGCTs. This evidence concerns the gene APC and gastrointestinal polyp.
