Our data also show that BPR0L075 kills cells through caspase-3 independent pathways in both the parental and the paclitaxel-resistant ovarian cancer cells, evidenced by the absence of cleaved caspase-3 protein (Figure 6A, B) and ineffectiveness of caspase-3 inhibitor in protecting both the parental and resistant cells from BPR0L075 induced cell death (Figure 6D). Here, CASP3 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
