To verify that the antiinflammatory effects of galangin in an OVA-induced mouse asthma model were mediated by the inhibition of NF-κB, we examined degradation of IκBα, phosphorylation of p65 subunit of NF-κB, and nuclear translocation of p65 in lung tissues obtained 24 h after the final challenge. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and asthma.
