Th2 cells play an essential role in the initiation and progression of allergic asthma by induction of cytokine secretion, and NF-κB is more than a critical transcription factor for Th2 cell differentiation [27], and it also plays a seminal role in asthma by regulating the transcriptional process of NF-κB-dependent gene encoding protein such as IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, eotaxin, CXCL10, MCP-1, and VCAM-1 [28]. The gene discussed is IL4; the disease is allergic asthma.
