Of these, two SNP pairs (APEX1-rs1130409 *RPAP1-rs2297381 and MLH1-rs1799977 *MDM2-rs769412) showed the strongest statistical association with breast cancer (P<7.3×10−3), with modest FDR values of 0.30 and 0.49, respectively (Table 1). The gene discussed is MLH1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
