Finally, we simulated VEGF-driven angiogenic morphogenesis borrowing from previous methods using cellular Potts models for tumor-driven angiogenesis (Bauer et al., 2007, 2009; Shirinifard et al., 2009), in which endothelial cell chemotaxis toward soluble VEGF leads to angiogenic sprouting and branching. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and neoplasm.
