In this analysis, statistical significance was observed for age older than 60 years old versus <60 years old (OR = 0.42 for 60–69 years [95% CI: 0.25 to 0.73] and 0.38 for ≥70 years [95% CI: 0.20 to 0.73]) , living in larger housing versus 1–3 room public housing (OR = 0.52, 95% CI: 0.33 to 0.80), ≥10 years of diabetes history versus <10 years of DM (OR = 1.73, 95% CI: 1.11 to 2.71) , presence versus absence of insulin treatment for diabetic control (OR = 2.68, 95% CI: 1.45 to 4.95), and poor versus good compliance to medication (OR = 3.72, 95% CI: 1.55 to 7.64).
